Introducing MultiGrid Small Bore Pipe (<2”) Support System

During the last 6 months Øglænd System have developed a complete new range of products for supporting pipes up to 2”

The system is based on materials & details that have been approved and used for the past 10-20 years in the North Sea.

The “MG system” eliminates need of hot work and fits Oglaend System products for other disciplines.

Oglaend System, -celebrating its 30 year anniversary states the ambition being “The marked leader in multidiscipline support system” -also into the future..

The new MultiGrid Site Support system consists of a perforated Angle L60x60x6 profile. The system also includes fittings for connecting to exist. steel and “Pipe Support Std. Details” to the pipe. The system offers a flexible and simple installation with few parts which is unique for this discipline.

Parts are available from stock in Stainless Steel, -but can also be produced and delivered in Carbon Steel (HDG) and/or frameparts in aluminium.

Many of the details and advantages are protected, either by patent or by copyrights.

Work Instruction/Best Practice
We have made a ”Best Practice” document that also can be used as a work instruction. This contains most information needed -from the engineering stage to the actual installation. Click the link below and you can download a PDF-file
(by a link sent to your e-mail)
(We can also by request send it in paper edition -A5 format)
(See link)

Cost saving
-Engineering:
The ”MG-Site-Support” eliminates the need for most special solutions and thereby saves precious engineering hours.

Oglaend System has experience data and can assist estimating a material list (“bulk mto”) needed for site supporting with this system.

-Installation:
The MG-Site-system is simple and flexible with few details that cover most solutions without welding or drilling the support at all. This fact gives in many cases savings regarding installation time cost equivalent with the actual support frame cost.
When installed, -the support will also simplify future electro/instrument mounting.

-HMS:
Every man hour used at site includes a health risk. -Using this system reduces man hours and thus health risk is reduced.

Test-production/installation of some hundred supports on the “Ekofisk Bravo Platform” has been done from October 2006 to January 2007, -with a very positive result.

Try Oglaend System also for your site supports and compare yourself.
