Our Chinese factory has been in operation since June 2013. It now has 35 employees and expects to reach a turnover of approx. 6 million USD in 2014. The factory in China is part of our global Supply Chain Strategy and its main purpose is to serve customers in East Asia – for instance in China, Korea and Eastern Russia. James Foo has been managing the factory up to this point; however, from January 1, 2015, Hai Tai Ma (37) will take over as Managing Director for Oglaend Industries China.

The festive opening ceremony with the theme, “New Time – New Future” was held according to Chinese tradition. After arrival and guest sign in among others chairman of the board, Lars Brodd gave a speech. After management speeches all guests went on a tour around the factory followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony. The evening was crowned with a dinner party with Chinese entertainment.
