Grating

In this guide we’ll show which fastening on steel technology to use for grating (GRA) applications.

To fasten grating you can either use the M8 X-BT and S-BT threaded studs, however; our recommendation and best practice installation method are X-BT threaded studs. For offshore applications we recommend studs in Stainless Steel (SS) material.

Best Practice Installation Method:

X-BT HL and Grating Disc HL (RED ring) are our best practice for grating fastening. S-BT cannot be used with the RED ring grating fastener. For C5M (all areas).

Optional Installation Method:

X-BT HL and Grating Disc HL (RED ring) areour best practice for grating fastening. S-BT can be used with the BLACK ring grating fasteners when torqued with 8Nm. For C5M (all areas).
