The Norwegian Transparency Act

Act relating to enterprises' transparency and work on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.

What is the Norwegian Transparency Act?

The Transparency Act came into force on 1 July 2022 and its main purpose is to promote companies' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and services, and to ensure public access to information on how businesses deal with negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. How do we in Oglaend System work with the Norwegian Transparency Act?

We welcome this initiative to increase focus on how businesses can be important contributors to promote human rights and ensure decent working conditions. It is important for us as a company to hold ourselves responsible and perform due diligence and work to avoid undesirable effects of all of our business relationships.

We will conduct due diligence in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. This will be accounted for in an annual report as outlined by the Transparency Act. By June 30, you will be able to read our first report on this page here.

What fundamental processes do we have?

  1. Thorough supplier mapping and qualification process
  2. Follow up of suppliers
  3. Work in line with laws and recognized standards (such as ISO14001 and ISO45001)
  4. Ethical guidelines (Code of Conduct) for employees and suppliers
  5. Whistleblowing routines
